Fun and action packed, this comic book adaptation

pits a private secret service, the Kingsmen, against the evil genius Valentine played both hilariously and creepily by Samuel L. Jackson. Colin Firth plays the experienced agent “Galahad”, who brings in the lower class Eggsy, played by newcomer Taron Egerton, the son of an agent who was killed due to a mistake Galahad made on a mission, as a candidate to join the Kingsmen. Solid acting, crazy action sequences and a good plot make this one of the best movies of the year so far. I found a few sequences a little over the top, but barring that, there’s little to complain about.
