The latest big budget Avengers mo

vie pits the Marvel heroes against an enemy of their own creation. Quicksilver and the Red Witch (in this incarnation, created by Hydra) make their first appearances, with Cap, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and War Machine returning. This time around, there’s also a romantic subplot, and Hawkeye gets some character development, but unsurprisingly, most of the story involves an epic battle against super villain Ultron, played well by James “Red” Spader. A lot of people have said this film was not as good as the previous one. I thought it delivered, and would put it on par with the first installment. Watch for the scene at the very end, foreshadowing the sequel to the Guardians of the Galaxy. Mindless fun, and a good start to the summer block busters.
